CI World
Helveta’s Control Intelligence (CI) software platform is branded CI World™. The CI World platform provides supply chain management and asset (materials or products) tracking through an integrated modular suite of software. CI World makes real time end-to-end tracking of assets across any complex supply chain possible. Having been designed around the particular challenges posed by emerging markets, the system goes far beyond traditional chain of custody solutions.
More than a chain of custody solution
CI World enables total management control and reporting across supply chains, helping producers to meet environmental and legal responsibilities whilst providing process management data to control production and manage risk. Customers can select the modules they need – or they can select the integrated system – depending on the current and future requirements of their business. They can also add additional functionality as their business grows.
The suite of modules available within the system provides distinct but complementary functionality. At the core of CI World is CI Server™ which generates business information and delivers reports and alerts based on specific customer requirements. These results are available in a variety of formats, making the system easy to use, from anywhere in the world. CI Server is a complete Management Information System and as such is integral to the functionality of CI World.
Changing the future of supply chain managment
CI World is changing the future of supply chain management by bringing both commercial and environmental benefits to stakeholders – CI World addresses the needs of producers, local communities, consumers, and natural resource management institutions.
CI World delivers significant improvements to business including:
- All assets are fully traceable helping producers to manage inventory and prove the provenance of their goods
- Supply chain production problems can be quickly identified and addressed
- Traceability and proof of provenance can allow producers to command a price premium for their products
- Production methods can be made more efficient through the provision of detailed, real-time management data
CI World can be installed on local servers or provided as a hosted solution from Helveta’s secure servers housed in the UK and accessible via the internet. Alternatively, a staged migration from hosted to installed operation is also available. For more information on the technical requirements please contact us.

CI World for Forestry
According to the World Bank, illegal logging causes losses in assets and revenue in excess of US$15 billion a year in developing countries alone. Timber companies and governments are using CI World to enhance control of their supply chains, to secure improved inventory management and to promote the economic and environmental future of their local communities. CI World enables the tracking of timber from the standing tree in the ground to finished product for export – right across the supply chain.
CI World for Food
As consumers are becoming increasingly aware of food quality, safety, origin and traceability – pressure is being exerted on processors to keep track of every component in the manufacturing process. CI World is being used to monitor food supply chains from farm to factory providing growers, farmers, producers and agronomists with business critical data on issues ranging from crop quality in the field through to product characteristics as food ships to consumer locations.
