Helveta achieves ISO 27001 accreditation

Oxford, UK, 20th July 2010 – Helveta, the provider of supply chain intelligence software CI World™, has formally been awarded the international standard for information security management ISO 27001:2005 in recognition of its commitment to information security within the CI World™ platform and across the Helveta business.
An Information Security Management System (ISMS) is a systematic approach to managing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and systems. It encompasses people, processes and information technology systems working together to reduce the risk associated with managing a company's own digital assets and those of its customers against threats such as data loss.
Helveta achieved ISO 27001 status through the successful completion of the rigorous certification process. During the certification process, Helveta demonstrated that it had:
- implemented a robust Information Security Management System;
- embedded information security into the software development lifecycle;
- operated policies and procedures that were fully compliant and;
- operated policies and procedures that were fully compliant and;
Helveta's ongoing commitment to maintain its ISO 27001 accredited status is assured with regular assessments every six months. The certificate of registration has been awarded by SAI Global.
